Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo strengthen himself as the ruler of the prestigious number at Djarum National Circuit South Kalimantan Open. In the final match at GOR Hasannudin, Banjarmasin,on Saturday February 27th 2016, he performed excellent for the winning podium.
The player who sponsored by Flypower, ensured his title by upset Rifan Fauzin Ivanudin’s (ISTC Sukabumi). The Djarum representative won by three games 21-19 18-21 21-13.
“I was hesitant and not sure to start the match in the first game so my point was left behind. Luckily, I overcame it quickly and won the game,” Wisnu said after the match, as quoted from official website of the championship.
Unfortunately, Wisnu was not able to keep his game up while Rifan had good ball. Finally, Rifan took the second game 18-21.
“It was difficult to serve Rifan in the second game. He performed better while I was difficult to turn the ball,” Wisnu explained.
In the final game, Wisnu who moved to PB Djarum Kudus from Surya Baja Surabaya in the early of 2015, looked mighty. By the spirit and hard work, Wisnu could take the first title of the first series of Djarum National Circuit 2016 with the total prize Rp260 million, after beat Rifan 21-13.
“In the last game, I played more hard and kept trying to press the opponent,” Wisnu added.
For its success, the former occupant of Pelatnas Cipayung entitled to the prize Rp17.600.000 while Rifan only got half number of it.
Wisnu went to the final round after beat Evert Sukamta (Tangkas Jakarta) 21-9 17-21 21-11. In the other match, Rifan knocked out Setyaldi Putra Wibowo (Guna Dharma Bandung) 21-17 21-18 for another seat in the final.
This winning avowed by Wisnu will increase his level of confidence and also become his guide to face another championship. Especially, Wisnu has target to win Grand Prix Gold tournament.
“This winning will be my guide to face another tournament. I hope I can win another tournament, at least Grand Prix Gold, Wisnu said explicitly. (*)
